Aphrodite and Harold Peponis offer tours of Chicago’s historic Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and on and offsite lectures to religious, educational, and community organizations. Meeting the ever growing interest in Orthodox Christianity, programs deal with the art, architecture, history, spirituality and worship of the Orthodox Christian Church. - Lectures and tours are provided on specific themes and topics and may be adapted to the needs of your group.
- Presentations are particularly suited to the Lenten and Advent seasons as well as religious education formats of churches and institutions.
- Iconography – Theology in color – is explored through its symbolism, its role in Orthodox worship, its historical development or its relation to the Arts.
- Icons of the major Feastdays and Saints are reviewed and explained.
